Our project can be described in two words: environment and survival. We will spend 10 wonderful days in the country of the sun. Our point is to disconnect from technologies and enjoy the countryside in the most natural way. We will learn to survive in the middle of the forest developing our skills by too many activities: finding drinking water, building our own camp, looking for edible/medicinal plants… In the same time we will be able to discuss some environmental issues we are facing nowadays. Besides, the program includes a lot of interesting and funny activities such as visits, night activities, daily games, contests and so on. Participant requirements Group requirements The accommodation is located 20km away from Cazorla, a little (but famous) town of Andalusia, in the East-South of Spain. We will be able to camp in a little ecological campsite in the middle of the Spanish mountains called “Camping Puente de las Herrerías”. Your organization will provide you a list with all the things you need to bring. Please, remember that we’re going to camp, so we will provide you the necessary stuff (like tents), but if you want to bring any facilities (as pillows, blanquets..) it will be up to you. Our place is next to the born of the most famous river in Spain, the Guadalquivir River, where you will be allowed to swim at any time you want in your freetime. If you want further information, you can visit their web clicking this link; http://www.puentedelasherrerias.com/index.php?idioma=GB Youth Europa will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and breaks/snacks. There will always be options for people with food restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergic, religious reasons, etc), as long as they point it out in the corresponding form that participants will receive before the Project. Basic rules about respecting each other will be mandatory: be on time, respect the others, clean up after yourself, do not make noise after midnight, follow the accommodation rules, separate wastes, follow the workshops and sessions actively. Anyway, in the beginning of the exchange, rules will be presented in detail. Serious misbehaviors, such as drug usage, violence, sexual harassment, theft or any other, will result in us calling the police, excluding you from the exchange and not reimbursing your travel costs. NOTE: travel cost can be partially of fully removed to the people who: Participants must arrive to the accommodation the 20 th July after 14h and leave it the 29th July before 14h. The travel agency we work with will prepared you the journey to follow for the arriving to Cazorla and for the departure to your place. Before giving you the tickets for the trip, we will ask you to make a deposit of 60€ in our bank account, just as a assurance that you will assist. If the last days before the project you decide not to come, this money will be used to change the name of your tickets for giving another person this opportunity. If you come, this money will be refunded to you the last day of the project. As we have said, this project has a fee of 30€ that will be discounted from this deposit. As a participant, you have up to 5 days’ gap between your flights dates and Project dates (20th July – 29th July). Example: Arrive 19th July – Departure 29th July 1+0=1 OK! Arrive 17th July– Departure 31st July 3+2=5 OK! Arrive 15th July – Departure 30th July 5+1=6 NOT OK! There is a participation fee of 30€ which will help us to improve the quality of the Project and will be discounted from the travel costs reimbursement. Travel, accommodation, food, materials, visits, activities… everything involving the Project is covered! So, you will only need some cash for your personal expenses Blanca Coello Poole (Coordinator) blanca@youtheuropa.org Location: Cazorla (Jaen), Spain.
