Do you remember the magical feeling listening to the fairy tales in your childhood?
Are you interested in storytelling or drawing?
Are you seeking to create something that will help others?
We are glad to invite you to join us for one of our most personal Youth Exchanges called ‘Exploring Europe through Fairy Tales’. We are gathering 32 participants from Spain, Estonia, Poland, Armenia, Greece and Italy. This project has three phases:
1. Few weeks before the main activity, each national group will research and gather several materials about local fairy tales within their communities.
2. During the main activity participants will develop storytelling, drawing, and writing skills that will help them in the main goal of this project: creating a small book of fairy tales and illustrations. Furthermore, participants will read and present these fairy tales in a Children’s hospital.
3. After the main activity the book will be printed and sent to different hospitals, libraries and NGOs. Each participant will receive one copy.
This project is supported by the Erasmus+ program. The only cost is the small participation fee and we will take care of the rest!

We would like to inform you that this project involves a nice amount of work, so be prepared! But do not worry, we are going to have a lot of fun and we have prepared various fun activities for you.
Everyone is welcome to this youth exchange, but having any of these skills is a plus:
-Good level of writing English.
The youth exchange will take place in Manzanares el Real (Spain), a village of 8,000 people near Madrid. We are surrounded by the mountains, a lake and a magnificent castle.
It is the perfect place to enjoy the magic atmosphere of the medieval Spain. We will be hosted in a modern hostel called La Pedriza we have booked the whole venue for us.
Most of the workshops will take place in the activity room inside the hostel. We will of course try to take advantage of the good weather too and stay outside. The participants will be accommodated in rooms of 8 and 6, divided by gender.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the same location every day. Food is going to be prepared by the chef of the village, so expect traditional Spanish food.
There will be options for people with food allergies or food intolerances. We can not promise that we will cater to every preference, but we always try to have vegan and vegetarian options available.
You must arrive to the venue before the late evening on 1st of November and you cannot leave (Unless it’s an emergency) before 9th of November. You can get to Manzanares el Real by flying to Madrid, Zaragoza or even Barcelona. Selected participants will receive more detailed information.
We also cover your travel cost up to certain limit. You will receive your reimbursement after you have provided us all the documents within a month after the event. If you’re economical, it’s possible to get your full travel expenses covered!
Selected participants need to contact the organizer and send their travel info before buying the tickets. It is important not to buy anything before receiving the green light from us. We will of course assist you in every way possible.
Each national group will take turns presenting different aspects of their culture during the cultural evenings. Take this opportunity to prepare a unique and memorable experience for the rest of the participants and don’t be afraid to be creative! Don’t forget to bring some food, snacks or drinks typical for others to taste.
Afterwards, we will continue with other fun activities and social program, so the evenings will be everything but dull. You are also welcome to contribute, propose and prepare any activity or a game for the rest of the group to enjoy!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our project coordinator, Antonio. We will do our best to answer all your questions!
Detailed information will be given to all of the selected participants.
